Bahrain police and Customs officials to receive annual airport security training

Westminster Group Plc would like to congratulate their Strategic partners Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) for the signing of a new agreement with Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA) to provide civil aviation security training to hundreds of airport-stationed Ministry of Interior (MOI) personnel each year. The officials, who will serve in airport police and customs roles, will be needed to accommodate the expanded security requirements the airport’s New Passenger Terminal.

The agreement was signed by Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) CEO, Mohamed Yousif Albinfalah; Ministry of Interior Director of Airport Customs, Lt. Colonel Rashid Yahya Al Baker; Acting Head of Operations Division Captain Khalifa Abdulaziz Zaman and Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) CEO, Capt. Dhaffer Al Abbasi. The signing took place in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Transportation & Telecommunications and BAC Chairman Eng. Kamal Bin Ahmed Mohammed at BIA’s premises in Muharraq.

Westminster look forward to working with GAA in the delivery of these courses in the near future.

New Contract Award – South America’s

Westminster sister company announces that it has secured a contract for the supply and installation of several X-Ray Baggage Scanners, together with operator training for a customer located in the South America’s.

The scanners are equipped with a high-powered generator for improved image screening and increased penetration. They have 6 Colour Imaging which enables operators to view screened objects in 6 colours, with each colour correlating to a specific range of Atomic Z-Numbers. 6 Colour Imaging enables operators to achieve optimal material identification and improve throughput with more effective screening technology.

Training Contracts – Middle East & Asia

Westminster Aviation Security Services (WASS) in conjunction with our Strategic Alliance partners, the Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) in Bahrain, are pleased to announce that we have jointly secured a number of important aviation training contracts with new clients in Middle East & Asia.

The specialised courses, which will be delivered over the next few months and which are worth tens of thousands USD, are just the beginning of what we expect to be a long and fruitful partnership in the delivery of high quality certified security and training services to the aviation industry.

New Strategic Alliance for Aviation Training

On Wednesday 20 November, a strategic alliance agreement was signed between Westminster’s French subsidiary, Euro Ops, and the Tunisian Academy for Civil Aviation Safety and Security Training (AFSAC).

Westminster’s aviation division, including Euro Ops, is a leading provider of aviation security and training services to airports and aviation clients around the world.

AFSAC was the first private training centre in the world to be accredited by ICAO as a TRAINAIR PLUS Full Member and an ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre (ASTC). From its impressive training centre in Tunisia AFSAC provides certified aviation security training workshops on behalf of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and is an AACO Approved Training Center (Organization of Arab Air Carriers) and an AFRAA Approved Training Center (African Airlines Associations).

This strategic alliance is a major step forward in the delivery of aviation security training and will allow each party to offer, collaborate, market and deliver an expanded certified training program.
