Course aims

To ensure that all Aviation Security Managers understand their role and responsibilities in ensuring that a security programme and its implementation meet all legal provisions.

To ensure that Aviation Security Managers understand the legal framework of aviation security, the current threat and are aware of the wider security issues.

Target population

Our 4-day ASM course is specifically designed for UK security managers employed by airports, airlines (and their agents), cargo regulated agents, in flight suppliers, airport suppliers and security providers. Aimed at those who hold a responsibility to ensure their Aviation Security Programme and its’ implementation meet the requirements of the National Aviation Security Programme (NASP).

The ASM course is mandatory for any person with general responsibility at national or local level for ensuring that a security programme and its implementation meet all legal provisions. At national level this is the person who has oversight of policy and practical implementation relating to security issues on behalf of the airport, air carrier, regulated agent, and regulated supplier of in-flight supplies. At local level this is the person with local oversight of policy and practical implementation for the whole site, or a significant area of it (e.g. a terminal or local station).
